Tom Ostertag Born in 1928, Thomas Ostertag has spent most of his life in St.
Louis. Through the 1970s, he ran Ostertag Optical Service, Inc. a company he took over from his father. With a passion for
hunting and fishing, he spent most of his free time outdoors. Tom first put paint on canvas when he was
14 years old, and didn’t pick up a brush again until 60 some years later. His goal as a painter is to tell a story and
to capture his wonderful memories on canvas.
